𐑦𐑰
ifeat

Time for some more vowels. The letter 𐑦 makes the sound at the start of the words "if" and "is". It looks a lot like the ordinary letter "I", which is helpful, because it makes one of the sounds which are made by the ordinary letter "I".

The letter 𐑰 makes the same sound, but a bit longer. It's the sound at the start of "eating" and "even". 𐑰 is just two 𐑦s written closely together and joined.

Now you can write:

sip𐑕𐑦𐑐"sip"
pit𐑐𐑦𐑑"pit"
peas𐑐𐑰𐑟"peas", or "pees"
knee𐑯𐑰"knee"
sea𐑕𐑰"sea", or "see"
