𐑒 makes the sound of "k" in the ordinary alphabet, which is also one of the sounds of "c". It looks a bit like a "c" with a stalk. And it reminds me of the shape of a key.
𐑜 makes the hard sound of "g" in words like "gate" and "gap". It reminds me of the latch of a gate.
In the ordinary alphabet, "g" sometimes makes a soft sound, as in "George". This doesn't happen in Shavian: that sound has a whole different letter.
And there are many words in the ordinary alphabet where "g" makes some other sound, such as "enough" or "through". This doesn't happen in Shavian either. Instead, you write what you hear.
Now you can write:
| 𐑓𐑴𐑒 | "folk", people | |
| 𐑒𐑴𐑑 | "coat" | |
| 𐑒𐑮𐑴 | "crow" | |
| 𐑜𐑴 | "go" | |
| 𐑜𐑴𐑕𐑑 | "ghost" |
