« yea, woe
| 𐑯 | 𐑥 |
|---|---|
| nun | mime |
The letter 𐑯 makes the same sound as the ordinary letter "n".
The letter 𐑥 makes the same sound as the ordinary letter "m".
These two are quite easy to mix up. It helps to think of the word 𐑯𐑴𐑥, "gnome", which looks like a gnome shrugging, and the word 𐑥𐑵𐑯, moon, which looks like a cloudy mountain at moonrise. Remembering those should help you remember which is 𐑯 and which is 𐑥.
Now you can write:
| 𐑯𐑴𐑥 | "gnome", which looks a lot like a little man shrugging | |
| 𐑥𐑵𐑯 | "moon", which looks like a cloudy mountain | |
| 𐑥𐑵 | "moo" | |
| 𐑯𐑴 | "no", or "know" | |
| 𐑯𐑴𐑟 | "nose", or "knows" | |
| 𐑯𐑵𐑯 | "noon" |
